Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State calls for sustained prayers for the President, the Country, and Niger State Government for Allah’s direction on how best to secure lives and property and return the Country to the path of prosperity.
The Governor made the call in his Ramadan message through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, as Muslims the world over commence this year’s Ramadan Fast.
He observes that Ramadan Fast is a special month of spiritual exercise that brings about blessings, favours and forgiveness from Allah to those that participate in it.
The Governor also task Muslim Ummah in the State to use the period to ensure spiritual rejuvenation and growth.
He says they allow their spiritual growth to reflect in every aspect of their lives beyond the Ramadan period.
The Governor also encourages them to take advantage of the period and engage in acts that would earn them eternal reward.
He reiterates the slash of food items he has approved for the Ramadan period is to make it easy for the less privileged to participate in the Ramadan fast.
The Governor reminds those in charge of the sales to ensure they act justly, fairly and with sincerity of purpose to achieve the desired objective.
While congratulating the Muslim Ummah on the commencement of the Ramadan Fast, Governor Umaru Bago reaffirms his commitment to ensuring better living conditions for the residents of the state.
