CAPACITY MEDIA TRUST EXTENDS HUMANITARIAN SERVICES TO PAIKORO AND LAPAI LGAs

In its continued mission to support vulnerable communities, Capacity Media Trust (CMT), led by its Chief Executive Officer, Comrade Lanre Ishaq Sadiq has extended its humanitarian services to Paikoro and Lapai Local Government Areas.

Accompanied by dedicated members and supporters, the team visited key healthcare facilities, assessing their conditions and providing essential support.

During visits to Lapai General Hospital and Lapai Primary Healthcare Centre, in the company of Bawa Abdullahi, the team were welcomed and appreciated for its efforts by the Vice Chairman of the Local Government.

During the facilities tour the team observed that government-owned health facilities struggle with low patronage, as many residents prefer private clinics.

The team said the General Hospital had only three patients, while the Primary Healthcare Centre had just one, emphasizing the urgent need for increased public awareness and improved service delivery.

The team further said the only Doctor at hospital, Doctor, Nurudeen said the hospital is suffering from shortage of medical personnel the, complaining that he is the only person pulling all the work through.

Same story at the Lapai Primary Healthcare Centre, the pharmacist was the only senior staff on duty.

Comrade Lanre commended the facility’s structural condition but urged healthcare personnel to be more proactive in engaging the community, calling on residents not to neglect available healthcare services rather should take proper advantage of them.

In Paikoro where the team warmly received by Ishaya Azaido, Vice Chairman of Paikoro LGA, and Alhaji Isah Danjuma, Director of Primary Healthcare.

The team said unlike the other the healthcare facility the felicity in Paiko had a strong foundation but needs urgent maintenance for better service, stressing that timely repairs is crucial to sustaining the facility’s operations.

also expressed concerns about the poor state of the facility’s toilets and fans, which he identified as essential utilities for the comfort of patients.

He emphasized the need for immediate repairs to improve hygiene and ventilation within the facility.

The team provided cash donations at the three healthcare facilities visited.

Expressing gratitude, Alhaji Isah Danjuma assured that he would address necessary repairs within his capacity and called on the government to prioritize renovations, as many of the facilities were dilapidated and needed urgent replacement.
