Niger State government has commenced a discussion with the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) on how to provide services for the Agricultural projects at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport in Minna.
The Deputy General Manager, Cargo Development Service, Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, Mr Daniel Tsado Musa led a delegation from FAAN to the Niger State liaison office, Abuja for the inaugural meeting.
He disclosed that the Organisation is aware of the Agricultural revolution which the Niger State government has embarked on, and it is willing to assist in actualising it, especially as it affects export of Agricultural products.
Mr Tsado Musa further stated that with an established partnership, FAAN would ensure synergy with relevant Agencies such as NAFDAC, SON, NDLEA among others and services like Plant quarantine, cold rooms, Airline carrier, security, and safety and many more are provided for a hitch free export of Agricultural products.
The Secretary to the State Government, Alh. Abubakar Usman said that the State government is open to proper guidance from FAAN and other relevant agencies.
He said documents will be exchanged and arrangement will be made for further discussions that will deepen the collaboration.
Also speaking, the Chairman, Niger Foods, Mr Sammy Adigun, gave highlights of the two major Agricultural projects; the Special Agro-processing Zone and the free Zone at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport, Minna.
The State government also received the representative of a signage consulting firm who presented a proposal to develop gantries, cantilevers, street names, House numbers and speed bumps among others in the State.
