The Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has applauded His Excellency, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, for facilitating a smooth maiden edition of Umrah (Lesser Hajj) in the state.
The Executive Chairman of the agency, Alhaji Faruk Musa Yaro Enabo gave the commendation in a telephone interview on Thursday.
He observed that taking off of intending pilgrims for Lesser Hajj from Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport, Birnin Kebbi was the first of its kind since the creation of the state.
Yaro Enabo revealed that the exercise was hitch-free due to the support the agency was enjoying from the present administration under the able leadership of Kauran Gwandu.
The chairman noted with satisfaction that the intending lesser Hajj pilgrims were highly elated by the arrangements put in place by the agency to ensure their safety and comfort especially in the Holy land.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to give the governor more wisdom, courage and capacity to deliver the desired dividends of democracy to his people.
A cross section of intending pilgrims expressed delight over what they described as perfect arrangement and prayed that such spirit would be sustained.
They used the opportunity to shower blessing on Kauran Gwandu and offered prayers for him to deliver the goods successfully.
It could be recalled that the maiden Umrah from Kebbi took off from Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport Birnin Kebbi on Monday, March 10, 2025, at about 5a.m.
