Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has called on the Muslim Community to always remain true advocates of Islam in order to gain Allah’s mercies and rewards.
The Governor’s message was conveyed through his Deputy, Comrade Yakubu Garba whom the Commissioner for Agriculture Musa Salihu Bawa stood for during the closing ceremony of the Ramadan Tafsir organized by the Annoor Jumma’at Mosque, Government House Minna.
Governor Umaru Bago called on Muslims to reflect on the teachings of the Holy Month of Ramadan and be better citizens through promotion of peace and unity.
Director General, Bureau for Religious Affairs, Mal. Umar Faruk Abdullahi in his remarks commended farmer Umaru Bago for his foresight in bringing together different Islamic sects for a common purpose of love and togetherness.
Various Islamic Scholars showered commendations on the Governor for his vision in uniting the Muslim Ummah and prayed to Allah to continue to guide him aright as he steers the affairs of the State.
Special prayers were offered for the peace and development of the State and Country at large.
