The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, has re-assured the peoples of Yauri Emirate of more developmental projects in the area.
He stated this when Emir of Yauri, Dr Zayyanu Abdullahi with his entourage paid him Sallah homage in Government House, Birnin Kebbi on Thursday.
The governor, who described the people of Yauri as truly honest and humble, observed that they also have the zeal to move their emirate forward.
“I knew I have done a lot to the emirate but In Sha Allah this is just two years, we are going to do more in the remaining years of our administration.
“God has vindicated the people of Yauri, because there are some people that usually said people of Yauri are not in support of this administration which I said is not true,” he said.
Enumerating the achievements recorded by this administration, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida, thanked the governor for executing laudable projects in the emirate.
He added that the governor had touched both education, health, road infrastructure in the three local government areas under Yauri Emirate.
“We have nothing to offer to you than to pray for you and your entire family, because you gave us what we have never expected to benefit since creation of the state.
“Your administration splashes us with Permanent Secretaries, Commissioners, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Board members and other political offices,” he noted.
In his speech, His Royal Highness, the Emir of Yauri, Dr Zayyanu Abdullahi also thanked the governor for considering his domain for projects that have direct bearing to the lives of his subjects.
“You are not owning us now, we are the ones owning you. However, we are going to pay you back soon.
“You have done so many things for us in terms of developmental projects, it’s only Almighty Allah that will pay you back,” he said.
He also commended the governor for according special consideration for all traditional institutions in the state.
