Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has reiterated his administration’s determination to promote effective representation across the state.
The governor stated this during a special interactive session with stakeholders in each of the federal constituencies in the Niger North Senatorial District.
He explained that the meeting was to interface with stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Niger North Senatorial District and discuss issues that would strengthen the party, ensure unity, and guarantee
He enumerated the ongoing projects in the senatorial district and promised that more would be awarded to ensure rapid development of the zone.
The governor used the forum to call on elected leaders and political appointees to sustain their support for him by executing projects that would complement his efforts
Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security Dr. Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi applauded the governor for organizing such an interactive meeting and the numerous developmental strides in the state.
He disclosed that plans are underway for the federal government to implement more agricultural policies in the country, with Niger State as the pilot state.
Members of the House of Representatives representing four of the federal constituencies in Niger North, Abdullahi Idris Garba, Shehu Saleh Rijau, and Ja’afaru Mohammed, in their separate remarks, commended the former governor for his style of governance, which has brought about unprecedented development across the state.
Other stakeholders, including the Speaker, Niger State House of Assembly, Barr. AbdulMalik Sarkin Daji, APC national, state, and zonal officials, and representatives of stakeholders from various local government areas within the Niger North Senatorial District also hailed the governor, appealed for more, and assured their readiness to collectively ensure the party is victorious in all the forthcoming elections.
Niger North stakeholders thereafter endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago as the sole APC candidates for president and governorship in the 2027 general elections.
The meeting with the Kontagora/Wushishi/Mariga/Mashegu, Magama/Rijau, and Agwara/Borgu, that comprised the Niger North Senatorial District, marked the end of the special interactive session with the APC stakeholders across all three senatorial districts of the state.
