Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has sympathise with the government and people of Abia State over the loss of its first civilian Governor and former Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Engineer Ogbonnaya Onu.
The Farmer Governor in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim acknowledged late Engineer Onu as one of the founding fathers of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), hence, his demise is a huge loss to not only Abia State but the entire country.
He described the deceased as a selfless, patriotic and committed leader who through his effective service to the people of Abia and Nigerians in general, carved a niche for himself.
The Farmer Governor noted that the efforts of the deceased towards adding value to humanity will not be forgotten in a hurry.
While commiserating with his counterpart in Abia, Dr. Alex Otti, the Farmer Governor prayed to God to grant rest to the departed soul and also comfort his family as well as all those affected by the demise of Engineer Onu.
