Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun has redeemed the pledge of vehicle and office building made to the state chapter of NIPR during the institute maiden conference.
The governor who promised to donate vehicle and office building to the Ogun state chapter of NIPR gave the vehicle three hours after his investiture has the Patron of the institute at the June 12 Cultural Centre in Abeokuta Ogun State Capital.
The also promised to deliver the keys to the office building in three weeks time to the leadership of the NIPR in the state promising maximum support to the for the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations at all time.
The president of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations Dr. Ike Neliaku appreciated the governor, Dapo Abiodun for the kind gesture, saying indeed he is a “talk and do” Governor.
Dr. Ike Neliaku affirmed that many Governors had made series of promises and couldn’t fulfill it but Governor Dapo Abiodun beat the expectations of many NIPR practitioners for his hospitality, gifts and contributions to the success of the maiden conference in the state.
“Before we came to Ogun State, we have heard that governor Dapo Abiodun is a “talk and do” and man who always back his words with action, i appreciate his effort for the success of this conference, and supporting for PR professional practice in his state.”
“I called on the state chapter of NIPR to ensure that they justify the privilege bestol on them by the governor, to whom much is given, more is expected.”
Dr. Neliaku called on others governors in Nigeria to emulate the supporting spirits of Ogun and Nasarawa state governors, stressing that both Governor have shown good will and support for the development of NIPR and PR practice in the states.
The Chairperson of the Ogun State NIPR chapter, Oluwaseun Boye appreciating the state governor said he has proven himself again to be a “talk and do and talk and over do’ governor”, promising to the NIPR support in making his policies and development songs be heard all of the world.
She assured of the state professional synergy to ensure the Ogun state development agenda is achievable and sustainable.
