The Kebbi State Governor, Comerade Dr. Nasir Idris has handed over Certificate of Occupancy to the management of Power Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) for the construction of 2 × 60 MVA-132/33KV substation with turn in and out for Birnin Kebbi and Yauri Local Government Areas.
The governor handed over the certificate on Friday in Zuru, Zuru Local Government Area of Kebbi State with a view to enhancing electricity supply in the state.
“This land is given to TCN to enable them perform their work and ensure that Zuru enjoy stable electricity.
“This proposed site is for the construction of 2× 60 MVA-132/33KV substation with turn and out Birnin Kebbi, Yauri 132KVDC line at Zuru and Birnin Kebbi,” he said.
Responding, the representative of the company and the Director in-charge of Procurement, Engr. Musa Dada applauded the Kebbi state governor for providing the land which form part of dividends of democracy to constituents.
He assured the governor that the land would be used judiciously to serve the purpose it was meant for, thereby providing stable electricity supply to the area.
“I am from Zuru and other Directors here with me, I promise to work hard to ensure that the work achieve the desired success,” he added.
