The Special Adviser to Kebbi State Governor on International Donor Agencies, Dr Usman Buhari-Ali-Gwandu has called on the state and local based Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), Community Based Organisations, and Private Foundations in Kebbi State to take advantage of available opportunities to register with international organisations.
This is contained in a statement personally issued by the special adviser after his return from the 2024 Europe Day upon special invitation by the European Union Head of Delegations to Nigeria and ECOWAS, Ms Samuela Isopi, held at the European House in Abuja recently.
Buhari-Ali-Gwandu observed that such collaboration and partnership were expected to improve the organisations’ visibility and further provide them with unlimited opportunities from around the world.
The Special Adviser called on the NGOs to go to the websites below for the registrations:
1. Promoting Local Response Capacity and Partnership (PLRCAP): This empowers Nigerian NGOs through training, resources, and partnerships. Its NGO Support Hub offers digital tools, expert guidance, and peer learning to strengthen organisations and visibility. Founded by the Nigerian INGO Forum to support local humanitarian efforts and is funded by the European Union, USAID, the UKAid, and the Swiss Agency for Development & Cooperation. Dr. Usman Gwandu stated that both registrations are free of charge, assuring that the state government under the able leadership of Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu) is poised towards improving the image of the state and improving partnerships with donors and partners through collaborations with international donors & partners with multilateral cooperations, international development cooperation/agencies, and international NGOs, amongst others.
