The Executive Governor of Kebbi State has called on the good people of Kebbi State to love each other and embrace the love of Kebbi State and Nigeria.
He further stressed that peace, unity and understanding are basic ingredients of a progressive and prosperous society, insisting that without peace,development will be elusive
The Governor stated this on Thursday, 6th June, 2024 when some well meaning indigenes of Kebbi State paid him a farewell visit as he prepares to leave for Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj.
Comrade Idris used the special moment to assure the people of the State that his biggest priority is the emancipation of the people of Kebbi State and the development of every nook and cranny of the state.
“You see what this administration has done so far in terms of infrastructural development, intervention in education, health, agriculture and social welfare , is only a tip of the iceberg insisting that our journey to greatness had just commenced” he added.
Governor Idris also remarked that for him and his government, politics is not a do or die affair, adding that politics ended the very day he took his oath of office. “Am the Governor for all the people of Kebbi State and is focused on selfless service and good governance” he said.
On this year’s Hajj exercise, Governor expressed satisfaction with the quality of preparations and execution of the 2024 Hajj. adding that the pilgrims from Kebbi State will have good stories to tell when they return home because they would be treated with love, care and dignity at the holy land.
He then urge everyone to pray for Kebbi State and for peace and tranquility throughout the nation.
He also reiterated his commitment to justice and fairness to all the people of Kebbi State. While thanked the people of kebbi State for the unprecedented support and encouragement shown to him and his administration.
He prayed to Allah to spare our lives for all pilgrims to return home safely to continue their service to the people.
Governor Nasir, the Amirul Hajj and former Governor, HE Saidu Usman Nasamu, some Government functionaries, PWA officials and other pilgrims are expected to take off tonight from the Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport Birnin Kebbi for Saudi Arabia.
