Nigerian Institute of Public Relations NIPR Niger State Chapter has won the Award of “Best Road Walk” at the institute”s Diamond Anniversary celebrations.
The Award and Cash reward of One Hundred Thousand Naira Cheque, which was presented to the Niger State Chapter of the institute by the President, Dr. Ike Neliaku was in connection with the reward attached to the Activities and Event of all the states in Nigeria to mark the 60th Diamond Anniversary of the NIPR.
Presenting the Award during the Colloquium, Dinner and Award night held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja, the president said some chapters specifically recognised for the activities they undertook in their various states to mark the Diamond Anniversary as instructed by national achelon of the Institute.
“The award is given to different state chapters for their outstanding performance in different activities during the period of the diamond anniversary. Some chapters got best in tree planting, best in road walks, best media mobilisation, best in publicity, and so on”
Receiving the Award and the Cash Reward on behalf of the Niger State Chapter, the Chairman, Mahmud Abdullahi, and the Secretary Aliyu Jibo expressed gratitude to God and chapter members for making it a reality.
The Chapter Chairman, Mahmud Abdullahi also rejoiced with the notable elders in Niger State Chapter; former minister of state foreign affairs, Ambassador, Zubairu Dada Fnipr and Alhaji, Muhammad Dattijo Usman Fnipr who also received a Long Service Diamond Jubilee Award during the Diamond Jubilee Celebration at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.
Mahmud Abdullahi further said the co-operation and the support from all the members of the chapter is what made the achievements possible, saying unflinching support will spur him to do more for the state NIPR chapter.
“I really appreciate the support and tireless work and planning every member undertook to ensure the activities of the State NIPR long week is a success,” the Chairman said.
He called for more support from all the members to ensure that Niger state chapter is notably known among all the Chapters in Nigeria, promising to work with like minds who are ready for the professional strides.
The Chairman specially appreciated the National Council Member, Akin Agbejule and all the past and present Executives of NIPR Niger Chapter for making the task easy, promising to work with their long time experience in the professional field.
He thanked the State Government, Security Agencies, Red Cross, Physical Fitness Groups, NYSC groups, and other stakeholders in the state that makes the week long NIPR events memorable in the State.
