Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago was part of sympathizers at the three day prayer Session held for Late Hajiya Zainab Garba, Wife of his Deputy, Com. Yakubu Garba.
The prayer session, held at the Palace of the Emir of Minna was led by the Deputy Imam, Minna Central Mosque, Malam Jibril Imam, who offered a series of prayers for the deceased.
He prayed to Allah to continue to have mercy on Late Hajiya Zainab and forgive her shortcomings, even as he acknowledged that she lived a righteous life.
Governor Umaru Bago was full of appreciation to all those who came from both within and outside the State to condole with the State Government over the loss.
Hundreds of sympathisers including the Emir of Lapai, Alh. Umaru Bago Tafida III, Minister of State for Agriculture And Food Security, Abdullahi Sabi, Member representing Gurara/Suleija/Tafa Federal Constituency, Adamu Tanko Lokoja were also among those in attendance.
A similar gathering of women was organised by the Wife of the Farmer Governor, Hajiya Fatima Umaru Bago at Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi International Conference Center, Minna.
Various Women Islamic Scholars, in their separate sermons, charged women to be forgiving, compassionate, generous and be godly in all things as death can come at any time.
Special prayers were offered for the repose of the soul of the late Hajiya Zainab Garba.
The Deputy Speaker, Niger State House of Assembly, Mrs. Afiniki Dauda, Wife of the Secretary to the State Government, Hajiya Jummai Usman, female Commissioners, wife of top government officials and female government functionaries were present at the prayer session.
