The Kebbi State Ministry of Information and Culture has organised a cultural show to portray the rich culture of the state and to strengthen the existing harmonious relationship among the good people of the state.
Speaking at the occasion held in Birnin Kebbi, the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed-BK, said the event was meant to foster unity among different ethnic groups across the state.
“The programme is aimed at bringing different tribes in Kebbi State together towards fostering unity and consolidating on the existing harmonious relationship for the progress of the state.
“Government is happy to see its people tolerating, accommodating and mingling with each other in peace and harmony,” he said.
In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Kebbi State Ministry of Information and Culture, Alhaji Mahmudu Warah appreciated His Excellency, Comrade Dr Nasir idris for supporting the ministry to execute different programmes aimed at informing, educating and entertaining the general public.
This, according to him, had pave way for peace, unity and development of the state.
Those in attendance are the Secretary to the Kebbi State Government Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida who is also the special guest of Honour, the Head of Service Alhaji Safiyanu Garba-Bena, Hon. Commissioner for finance Abubakar Chika, Accountant General Alhaji Amirul Ballo Zabarimauwa, Commissioner for establishing and Training, Hon. commissioner for Animal Husbandry, special Advisers and the chief press Secretary to the Kebbi State Governor Ahmed Idris among others.
