Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has expressed sadness over the death of a veteran Journalist and the former General Manager of Radio Niger, Alh Abdullahi Abdul Paiko, Jarman Minna.
The Governor in a condolence message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, described the death of Jarman Minna as a great loss to Minna Emirate and the entire State.
He recounted the numerous contributions and selfless service of the deceased rendered in the information sector and traditional institution.
The Governor, who noted that his absence would be greatly missed, enjoined all affected by the death to take solace in the fact that he lived a good and fulfilling life.
He extended his heartfelt condolences to the Emir of Minna, Alh. Umar Faruk Bahago and the entire people of the Emirate over the loss.
The Governor also sympathised with the leadership and members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Niger State Council and prayed to Allah to make Aljanna Firdausi the final abode of the deceased.
He further prayed that Allah will grant his immediate and extended family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Late Abdullahi Abdul Paiko was the Chief Press Secretary to late Governor Musa Inuwa between 1992 and 1993, under the defunct National Republican Convention (NRC).
He was also served as General Manager of Radio Niger, Director of Information Services and a Permanent Secretary under the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development at different times.
