The Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman has rejoiced with the former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, who turns 83 on Saturday; commending his untiring efforts at preserving the unity of Nigeria.
Alhaji Usman, in a congratulatory message to the former Military President on behalf of the people and Government of the State, disclosed that General Babangida is a beacon of hope and strength who contributed immensely to the growth and progress of the country.
The SSG further explained that the former President has remained consistent in his desire for Nigeria to remain united, peaceful, and progressive despite its challenges.
According to Alhaji Usman, “history of Nigeria will always be incomplete without paying tribute to IBB’s contributions and landmark achievements to the socio-economic and political development of our great country”.
The SSG prays that the Almighty God will continue to strengthen and guide the former President in good health and wisdom to provide quality leadership to the nation for the overall advancement of the people.
