The Vice Chancellor, Professor Abu Kasim Adamu on behalf of the Senate, Management, Staff and Students of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai has joined the state Governor, Umar Mohammed Bago and millions of well-wishers to felicitate with the former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, as he clocks eighty-three years.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Abu Kasim Adamu in a statement signed by the University Registrar, Alhaji Idris Saleh Kusherki, appreciated IBB for numerous and
monumental contributions in the positive development of
the Nation Institutions Nigeria.
He further commended the former president’s effort in repositioning the education sector which is still being celebrated till date.
Abu Kazim said the entire IBB University and Lapai community wishes IBB a continued sound health and many prosperous years as he offers statesman advice to the growth and development of Nigeria.
Similarly, Provost Fati Lami Abubakar Institute for Legal and Administrative Studies, Doctor Amina Usman Kutigi, has felicitated with a former Military Ruler, Ibrahim Babangida, on his Eighty Third birthday.
In a statement Issued to journalists in Minna Doctor Amina Usman Kutigi said the management of FLAILAS joins family, friends and associates to celebrate with the elder statesman IBB.
Doctor Amina Usman Kutigi said the retired general’s contributions to the defence of territorial integrity, unity, political and sociology-economic development of Nigeria is enormous.
The Provost said the former military ruler has remained passionate about Nigeria more than two decades after his exit from active public service and politics.
She urged the elder statesman to continue to advise those in leadership positions on the need for unity, stability and progress of the nation.
Doctor Amina Kutigi, Prayed that the Almighty Allah continue to strengthen general Babangida and grant him longer life.
