The Niger State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) arrested two suspects in connection with the vandalism of cables at Niger Farm, Bida.
The suspects, whose identities are being withheld pending further investigation, were apprehended by NSCDC personnel during a routine patrol. Preliminary investigations reveal that the suspects were involved in the destruction of critical aluminum cables, disrupting operations at the farm.
The Commandant of NSCDC Niger State Command, Comdt. Adamu Abdullahi Kambra fcai, fiifs, has assured the public that a thorough investigation is underway to unravel the circumstances surrounding the vandalism. “We will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that those responsible for this act are brought to justice,” he stated.
The Commandant also warned that vandalism of critical infrastructure will not be tolerated, and those found culpable will face the full weight of the law.
The NSCDC is working closely with other security agencies to ensure the protection of critical national assets and infrastructure.
