The government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has deported four hundred Nigerians including 90 females and 310 males.
Reports from Journalists said the deportees arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.
They were received by the office of the National Security Adviser alongside the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons, National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and other stakeholders
NEMA said 190 Nigerians from the United Arab Emirates UAE have been profiled and documented by government agencies.
“The returnees were profiled and documented by the relevant agencies and sensitised to behave with decorum and responsibility on their return to Nigeria.”
The Federal Government urges all Nigerians, wherever they may be, to act as exemplary ambassadors of their country,” said NEMA.
