Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago expresses sadness over the demise of the Member representing Munya State Constituency, and Chairman, House Committee on Security and Intelligence, Joseph Haruna Duza.
In a condolence message by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the Governor describes the passing away of the Lawmaker as shocking and a huge loss not only to the people of Munya, but the entire State.
While noting the contributions and active role of the Lawmaker in the fight against insecurity in the State and his passion for its growth and development, farmer Governor Umaru Bago says only God can fill the vacuum created by the demise of Duza.
He commiserates with the Speaker, Niger State House of Assembly, Barr. AbdulMalik Sarkin Daji, other members of the 10th State Assembly, immediate and extended family of the deceased as well as the people of Munya local government area, urging them to accept the death of member as the act of God.
He prays that God will repose the soul of the deceased and comfort all that are affected by the loss.
