The Training Doctrine Command, Minna has reassured a better working relationship with media organisations in Niger State.
The Deputy Director, Army Public Relations TRADOC Minna, Lieutenant Colonel Uba Sani who led the team gave the assurance during his familiarization visit to the Correspondents Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) office in Minna.
Lieutenant Colonel Sani stated that the media are partners in progress and must be accorded a well deserved recognition to enhance effective communication that will benefit both parties.
He maintained that the Nigerian Army especially the TRADOC has a mandate that must be guided constitutionally, in the interest of the country, urging the media to assist in the actualising the core of objectives of TRADOC.
Responding, the chairman of Correspondents Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comrade Yakubu Mustapha Bina commended the visit, stressing that it’s a demonstration of competence, ability and commitment to excel in their assignments.
Comrade Mustapha Bina who also commended the command, stated that Nigerian Army has played a critical role in maintaining peace and stability of the country and deserved to be supported in carrying out their activities for the progress of the nation.
He described the visit as historic and memorable, charging the TRADOC Command to carry every media organization along, to ensure inclusiveness and objectivity in their reportage.
