Niger State Speaker of the House Assembly,
Barrister Abdulmalik Sarkindaji has vowed to clampdown on quack hawkers of pharmaceutical drugs in the state.
The Speaker made the vow after presentation Awards by the Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria PSN, to him, Niger State governor’, Mohammed Umar Bago, Member Representing Paikoro at the State Assembly, Umar Nasir Paiko, and other prominent people in the state.
He said the house will work with the PSN to end the menace of pharmaceutical quakery in the state.
Abdulmalik Sarkindaji further said the house will give the council leadership the necessary support to enable them to discharge their duties effectively.
Similarly, Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria, PSN Niger chapter also elected new leaders that will pilots the affairs of the association for another term after elections is conducted
The New Leaders were Sworn-In at the Dinner, and Award Night in commemoration of World Pharmacy Day Celebration Held at Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi International Conference Hall Minna
The elected leaders are Ohida Aminu; Chairman, Abdulkareem Liman; Vice Chairman,Toyin Odugure; Secretary, Yunusa Sulaiman; Assistant Secretary.
Others are Hadiza Hassan; Treasurer, Nura Abbas; Financial Secretary, and Abubakar Umar Ndakara, Public Relations Officer.
In His Valedictory Speech, the out going Chairman of PSN Niger State Chapter, Pharmacy Yakubu Maaji Isah, appreciated members of the association for thier unrentless support through out his tenure, wishing the New leadership Success as they pilot the affairs of the PSN in the state.
The New Chairman of the Association, Pharmacy Ohida Aminu, sought for the cooperation and support from all members in order to deliver the mandate of his office, promising to move the PSN forward.
