A statement issued by Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman to mark Nigeria’s 64th Independence Anniversary explained that the path of the last 64 years has been marked by triumphs and challenges, but through it all, the resilience and unity of the Nigerian people have remained unwavering.
The statement further reaffirmed the commitment of the present administration led by Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago to the unity, peace, and development of Niger State.
The statement commended the indomitable spirit of Nigerlites and all Nigerians who, despite challenges, continue to work tirelessly for the progress and development of our State and Nigeria as a whole.
The statement salutes the founding fathers of our nation, whose vision and sacrifice laid the foundation for the Nigeria we know today. Thanked the people of the State for their continued support and cooperation to the present administration, adding that together, we can build a more prosperous and stronger Niger State.
Government is leaving no stone unturned in boosting agricultural productivity to ensure food security, improve infrastructure to drive economic growth, invest in education and healthcare to develop human capital, and promote good governance and transparency in public affairs among several others, the statement revealed.
