The Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC), Kebbi State, Alhaji Abubakar Kana-Zuru, has lauded Gov. Nasir idris’ gigantic efforts geared towards transforming the state.
The chairman gave the commendation when he led the State Working Committee (SWC) members and party elders to inspect the ongoing work at the Multi-Billion Naira Ultra-Modern State Secretariat at Gwadongwaji, Birnin Kebbi.
He said the governor has not disappointed the party in fulfilling campaign promises, adding in just one year, he has fulfilled majority of the party’s electioneering campaign promises.
Kana-Zuru described the secretariat project as a huge job that would not only bring the state civil servants under one roof but would also facilitate efficient and effective service delivery.
“We are here to see for ourselves the good works of our noble governor, we are proud of him and we are happy to be associated with his developmental strides.
“As party exco and elders, we are happy projects that have direct bearing to the lives of people are being executed across the state,” he said.
He listed some of the projects to include; construction, reconstruction and renovation of schools, payment of scholarship to students both within and outside Nigeria, prompt payment of salaries, pension and gratuity, distribution of free fertilisers and other farming inputs among others.
“If really project execution is one of the yardstick to measure popularity of elected politicians, then APC don’t need to campaign in Kebbi State. His projects cut across all sectors.
“If you can recall, His Excellency, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu has also distributed brand new vehicles to all Commissioners, all members State House of Assembly, Advisers, all elected council chairmen, all Emirs, security agencies, hospitals and ministries among others,” he said.
Kana-Zuru observed that considering the holistic approach of the governor to the plights of generality, the party needed just little push to ensure continuity on governance.
The chairman said in just one year, people have seen what the governor has done, adding that the projects were not hidden but they were spread across all sectors.
He appealed to the good people of Kebbi State to sustain the support and cooperation being given to the present administration under the able leadership of Kauran Gwandu to enable it accomplish its mission and vision of transforming the state.
