Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has congratulated the new Chairman of the Imams Forum of Niger State, Alh. Adamu Yakatun.
The Governor, in a congratulatory message through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, described the emergence of Adamu Yakatun as Chairman of the Imams Forum as a welcome development for the Muslim Community.
He expressed optimism that the Chairman of Imams Forum will continue with the good works of his predecessor, Late Ibrahim Isah Fari in uniting the Muslim Ummah and propagating the cause of Allah.
The Governor further stated he has no doubt that Adamu Yakatun will be an exemplary leader that will use his position to continue to advocate peace among all and sundry.
He equally used the medium to call on other members of the Forum to cooperate and support the new Chairman to achieve the core values of the Forum.
Alh. Adamu Yakatun was officially appointed as the new Chairman of the Imams Forum of Niger State following a unanimous decision by the Executive members of the Forum during a meeting held in Bida.
Alh. Yakatun who was hitherto the Chief Imam of Bida is to succeed Mal. Ibrahim Isah Fari who died recently.
