Former First Lady, Late Maryam Babangida has been extolled by many icons in all works of life for her memorable human developmental initiatives in Nigeria.
A guest speaker, Doctor Maryam Lemu joins many prominent Nigerians to appraise Maryam Babangida while delivering a lectured, Title “Education, Innovation and Excellence” at the First founder Day celebration of El-Amin University Minna, held at the school Hall in Minna Niger state.
Doctor Maryam Lemu, attributed the current challenge bedeviling the country to lack of honesty, justice and, pointing out that the country can only achieve its potential if Nigerian changes their negative attitude.
She hailed the late Maryam Babangida for her Better Life Programme for Rural Women and other human centered
interventions, saying her achievement and contribution to the progress and development of women can never be forgotten.
The Pro-Chancellors Abdulkadir Kure University Minna,
Professor Mohammed Yahaya Kuta, represented by Barrister Abass Bello commended Doctor Muhammad Babangida for upholding the ideals of his late mother whom he described as one of the champions of women’s rights in Nigeria.
In their separate remarks, the Pro-Chancellors El-Amin University Minna, Doctor Muhammad Babangida, and the Acting Vice Chancellor of the Institution, Doctor Emmanuel said all Programmes in the Institution has been accredited by the appropriate authority, commending the staff of the Institution for their dedication and commitment to duties.
