The Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Niger State Council, has congratulated Comrade Alhassan Yahaya on his emergence as the new National President of the Union.
In a statement issued on behalf of the union, the State Secretary of NUJ Comrade Usman Chiji, said the victory of Comrade Alhassan Yahaya and other executives, has opened a new chapter of hope for Nigerian journalists, having served in various capacity for over two decades in the Union.
The Niger State Council of NUJ expressed confidence that, the new National President of NUJ, will bring his vast experience to bear in the discharge of his duties so as to reposition the Union.
The Union also appreciated the immediate past National President of Union Comrade Chris Isiguzo, for his contributions to the growth and development of NUJ at all levels.
The statement then on behalf of entire journalists in Niger State, assured the new leadership of the Union, of their maximum support and cooperation to enable it to succeed.
