Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago congratulates the new National Executives of the Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ) led by its Chairman, Comrade Alhasan Yahaya.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the Governor applauded the seamless process that brought the new National Officials to power.
He urges the Yahaya-led NUJ to propel true professionalism among practitioners and uphold national values.
Similarly, the Governor congratulates the Niger State Council of the NUJ for producing a National Officer after a long time.
He reiterates the commitment of his administration to free Press while ensuring a cordial relationship that would engender peace and development as well as the realisation of the New Niger Development agenda.
Among the new NUJ National Executives are Alhasan Yahaya who was the immediate past Deputy National President and Former Chairman of Gombe State Council, as National Chairman, Abimbola Oyetunde from Edo State Council, as the first female Deputy National President, Adeiza Momoh Jimoh is the Vice President North Central (Zone D), and Dauda Mohammed of NTA Minna as the Secretary North Central (Zone D).
