Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, has called on the officials of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Niger State Chapter to reconcile all aggrieved members for the overall growth and development of the Party in particular, and the State in general.
He made the call when he paid a separate visit to the Kontagora local government and the Zone C APC Secretariats in Kontagora, the headquarters of Zone C Senatorial District.
The Governor, who addressed the APC stakeholders from Zone C, stressed the need for unity and patriotism among all party members.
He said his administration is determined to take development down to the grassroots through the Ward Development Projects, adding that a Committee will soon be set up in that regard.
The Governor said the Committee, when set up, would collaborate with the Commissioner for Rural Development in achieving the set objectives pointing out that huge amount of money has been set aside for the grassroots development, especially in the provision of basic social amenities.
He also enjoined all APC members to always give back to the Party to strengthen it and reaffirmed his loyalty to the Party.
The APC Deputy Chairman, North Central, Mu’azu Bawa Rijau, who appreciated Governor Umaru Bago for all his people-oriented policies, said the APC is proud of the achievements of the Bago-led administration and will continue to rally round him for more success.
Also speaking, the APC Secretary, North Central, Yakubu Hannafi, described Governor Umaru Bago as one of the most active Governors in the Country and the best among his equals in the North Central Region.
The APC Chairman, Kontagora local government area, Alh. Adamu Umaru Kawu, commended the Governor for his good policies and programmes that have immensely improved the lives of the people and reassured him that the APC is solidly behind him as he continues in his quest to move Niger State to greater heights.
An award of gratitude honour was presented to the Governor by the APC Kontagora local government, in recognition of his laudable policies and programmes geared towards the development of the Party and the State.
