Niger State Government is to spend N10 billion on remodelling the General Hospital and School of Health Technology in Tungan Magajiya, Rijau Local Government Area.
Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago stated this when he visited the two facilities in Rijau, in continuation of his Statewide projects monitoring tour.
He said both structure, when remodelled, would also be equipped with State-of-the-Art facilities for improved and effective service delivery.
The Governor who observed how historic both facilities are, promised to continue to provide support to them.
Governor Umaru Bago was also at the Palace of the Sarkin Bauchin Rijau, Alh. Sanusi Muhammad Kuki where he addressed the community members, and informed them that the State Government will re-open the Vocational School and the financial institution in Rijau.
Governor Umaru Bago also disclosed that the ongoing Kontagora-Rijau road construction will be extended to Zuru and reassured Rijau residents that the 5 km township road project will be completed.
The Sarkin Bauchin Rijau, Alh. Sanusi Muhammad Kuki, the Member representing Rijau/Magama Federal Constituency, Shehu Sale and the Chairman Rijau Local Government Council, Danladi Kwambo in their separate remarks described the Farmer Governor as a leader who means well for his people and commended him for the ongoing road projects in Rijau and across the State.
The title of Jarman Rijau was then bestowed on the Governor by the Sarkin Bauchin Rijau for his love and affection for the people of Rijau.
Governor Umaru Bago had earlier inspected the ongoing Rijau-Kontagora road project and the proposed 6 span bridge at Luoji even as he expressed satisfaction with the quality of work carried out so far.
He equally stopped over at Gulbin Boka and Kwuimo Communities along Rijau Local Government Area, and reassured community members of his administration’s commitment to providing them with the basic social amenities.
