Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago was among several guests and well-wishers that attended the wedding fatiha between Rahmat Binta AlQasim and Abdulrahman Imran.
The wedding fatiha took place at Zeenatul Muslimeen Society Mosque Minna.
Governor Umaru Bago who stood in as father of the bride, called on the husband to be responsible, and be there for his wife at all times as exemplified by the Holy Prophet.
He advised the couple to be patient with each other and ensure that they live in accordance with the teachings of the Holy Qur’an and Hadith
The Governor prayed for a peaceful union and Allah’s boundless blessings for the newly wedded couple.
The Chief Imam of Zeenatul Muslimeen Society Mosque Minna, Malam Zakariyya Bin Swalihu, conducted the wedding fatiha and pronounced Abdulrahman and Rahmat Binta married after the confirmation of payment of N100,000 as bride price by the representative of the groom AbdulRahman Ayelabowo.
He also enjoined the couple to be tolerant with each other and remain steadfast in prayers even as he prayed they succeed in their daily endeavours.
A sermon was delivered by Sheikh Abdulgafar Salman, on the topic; Building a good Islamic home, where he admonished all Muslim parents to abide by the teachings in the Quran which serves as the guiding principle of all Muslims.
The bride, Rahmat Binta AlQasim is the daughter of Bilaal Qasim Muhammad Adebayo, Coordinator on Media Relations.
