The Chairman Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Niger State Council Comrade Abu Nmodu, has condoled the family of the popular newspaper distributor Malam Abdullahi Bayero who died in the early hours of Tuesday December 31, 2025.
In his condolence message, Comrade Abu Nmodu, described the late Malam Abdullahi Bayero, as a complete gentleman, a pious Muslim and a friend of NUJ who for many years has discharged his duties diligently.
The Statement signed by the State Secretary of NUJ Comrade Usman Chiji recalled how the deceased has earned his legal means of livelihood through newspaper distribution adding that, he will be greatly missed for his passion for the job and matured manner in which he interacted with customers and journalists .
The statement noted that the history of journalism in Niger State would not be completed without the name of Malam Abdullahi Bayero, as he has been in the job of newspaper distribution since the commencement of the profession in the State.
He pointed out that the late Malam Abdullahi Bayero was an integral part of NUJ since newspaper distribution is said to be another channel of information dissemination.
Comrade Usman Chiji then prayed Allah to forgive the deceased his sins, grant him Aljanatu Firdausi and the family as well as members of the association of newspaper distributors the strength to bear the loss.
