The Council and the Senate of Abdulkadir Kure University, Minna has ratified and approved the appointment of Rabi’u Abubakar Gimba, (amnipr) as the Information and Public Relations Officer of the Institute.
This is contained in his letter of appointment dated 18th of September, 2024 and copy made available to Journalists in Minna.
The appointment is with immediate effect.
Until his appointment, Rabi’u Gimba Abubakar (amnipr) was a Staff of Prestige FM Radio 91.7 Minna, covering education and many other investigative beats, as well as the Sunday news editor.
He is also an Associate Member of Nigeria Institute of Public Relations NIPR Niger State Chapter and Member of Nigeria Union of Journalists Niger State Council.
Rabi’u is a graduate of Mass Communication from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria with many years experience in journalism.
He is a Nigerlite from Lapai local government area, married and blessed with a child.
The management of Nigeria Institute of Public Relations, NIPR Niger State Chapter, Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Niger State Council and Prestige FM Minna expressed joy over his appointment.
The Media and Public Relations bodies expressed confidence in the appointment of Thier member and staff, saying Rabi’u Abubakar Gimba best hands and a good asset for the institution information management.
They affirmed Rabiu Gimba (amnipr) will perform creditably well by bringing his wealth of experience in Media and Public Relations to bear in every assigned Information and Public Relations activities in the University.
The Public Relations and Media Union bodies congratulate Rabi’u, Gimba, describing him as a humble, trustworthy, reliable and hardworking individual.
They called on the university management to give him maximum support to enable him succeed in his assigned office.
