Acting Governor of Niger State, Comrade Yakubu Garba was among well-wishers that graced the Wedding Fatiha between Maimuna Mu’azu Wali, daughter to the Permanent Secretary, Government House Minna, and her partner Lt. Jamilu Mann Isah, son of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management.
The Wedding Fatiha, presided over by the Deputy Chief Imam of Minna, Malam Isah Jibril, was conducted at the Central Mosque Minna.
Malam Jibrin acknowledged the payment of N250,000 as bride price by the representative of the Groom’s family, Alh. Yakawu Usman and was received by the representative of the Bride’s family, the Garkuwan Kontagora, Alh. Ibrahim Wali.
He thereafter declared Lt. Jamilu Isah and Maimuna Wali as husband and wife.
Special prayers were offered for the couple to enjoy a blissful and peaceful union.
Prominent personalities at the event were the former Deputy Governor of Niger State, Alh. Ahmed Muhammad Ketso, Secretary to the State Government, Alh. Abubakar Usman, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alh. Abdullahi Usman Gbatamangi, Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Alh. Nma Kolo, some members of the State Executive Council and other top government officials as well as the Emir of Minna, Alh. Umar Faruk Bahago among others.
