The agricultural revolution of Mohammed Umaru Bago is taking another step on the path of success with the proposed Kwaipi Pumping station and water dam,a sustainable solution for irrigation and freshwater supply.
The project,to be sited in Kwaipi Community, Bosso Local Government Area, is expected to be solar powered and designed to ensure large scale irrigation farming all year round, in line with the objectives of the Governor for the State to be a major contributor to the food security of the Nation.
This followed presentation of the proposed project
Designed to cover 10,000 hectares of farmland and to be cost effective scheme aimed at providing continuous water supply to boost agricultural productivity, local economic growth and at same time supply fresh water to Bosso Dam through a dedicated water channel.
To ensure its successful execution, a topographical, geographical and hydrological assessment are to be carried out including an assessment of the proposed farmland to determine key varieties.
The Kwaipi pumping Station and water Dam is just one among many agricultural schemes of Governor Umaru Bago as he continues in his quest of using agriculture for the overall growth and development of the State and Country at large.
