The Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) has coffered its prestigious Honorary Fellowship Award on Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu).
The award, which was presented at the association’s 29th Annual Conference held in Abuja on Tuesday has “Advancing Accounting Excellence in a Changing World,” as its theme.
The occasion drew participants and distinguished personalities from across the country.
Receiving the award, Gov. Idris, who was represented at the event by his Deputy, Sen. Umar Abubakar-Tafida, expressed gratitude to ANAN for finding him suitable for the award.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering support for ANAN towards achieving its set goals and objectives of the organisation.
He also pledged the unwavering commitment of the governor to upholding global best practices in transparency and accountability in managing the resources of Kebbi State.
The Honorary Fellowship was conferred in recognition of Gov. Idris’ dedication to public service, support for the association, and his commitment to transparency and accountability in his administration.
Abubakar-Tafida, led a high-powered delegation including; the Head of Service, Alhaji Sufyanu Garba-Bena, the State APC Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Kana-Zuru, Commissioners, Special Advisers, and the State Accountant General, Alhaji Bello Ibrahim Nahaliku, among others.
