Niger State Government is to hold an Investment Summit for the year 2025. The Commissioner for Industry, Trade, Investment, and Private Sector Development, Aminu Suleiman Takuma, revealed this during a post Council briefing held at the Government House, Minna. Represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Hamza Sarki Bello, the Commissioner said the Governor directed that the Investment Summit should be an inclusive one to attract investments in the area of sports, renewable energy, and environment among others. The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation to three academic programmes at Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai. This was officially conveyed in a letter signed by the Acting Director of Accreditation, Engr. Abraham Chundusu. The accredited programmes include, Mass Communication, Computer Science, and Biology. Niger State Government has distanced itself from the list making the rounds on social media platforms as the government sponsored intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.
