Niger State Government has signed financing agreement with the National Agricultural Development fund on Rice and Maize production in the State. The agreement was signed at the Niger State Governor’s Lodge Abuja with the Chairman Niger Foods signing on behalf of the Agency and the CEO National Agricultural Development Fund Mohammed Abu Ibrahim signing on behalf of the Organisation. Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command CP Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman has deployed an EOD-CBRN unit to the scene of the explosion of some suspected dynamites at Sabon-pegi, Mashegu LGA. Niger State Police Command in a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, SP Wasiu Abiodun, said the dynamite was reportedly kept in a residential area by one Yushau for a purported mining activity. NSEMA has received a report of explosive incident at Sabon pegi of mashegu local government area of Niger State. The incident which occurred early in the morning of today, 26th January 2025, at about 7:30 am, was caused by a Nakiya explosive kept in a rented apartment by one Yushehu, a local artisan miner.
