The death has occurred of Dr. Mahmud N. Mohammed. The deceased is the former Permanent Secretary, Niger state Ministry of Education. He died this evening after a brief illness. The funeral will take place tomorrow, Sunday 1st of December at Minna Central Mosque by 10 o’clock in the morning. He is survived by a wife, children, and siblings. May Almighty Allah grant him Aljanah Firdausi and grant the family fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, sympathises with the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Niger State Council, Comrade Abu Nmodu over the fire incidence that affected part of his residence in Minna. In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the Governor describes the incident as unfortunate and pathetic. He encourages the NUJ Chairman to accept the situation in good faith and as the will of Allah. The Governor prays that Allah, who allowed the fire incident to happen, will replace whatever he has lost to the fire incident.
The Indonesian Government says it is set to assist Nigeria achieve 60 and 40 per cent increase in its milk and meat production respectively in the next five years. Dr Usra Hendra Harahap, the Indonesian Ambassador to Nigeria made the disclosure during a courtesy visit on Gov. Nasir Idris of Kebbi State in Birnin Kebbi on Friday. Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has declared a State of Emergency on Education in Niger North Senatorial District. He made the declaration while on project tour in the Senatorial District. Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago said the reconstruction of Bangi road in Mariga Local Government Area will be included in the 2025 budget. Niger State government is to award the contract for the remodeling of Kagara General Hospital in Rafi Local Government Area of the State.
