Determined to broaden its horizon and expand its global presence, the National Examinations Council (NECO) has accredited more foreign schools to write the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) and the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). The newly accredited schools in addition to the existing ones, are in Niger Republic and Equitorial Guinea. NECO Accreditation Team visited the Schools to assess their readiness to write the SSCE and BECE. Niger State Government is to make available 1.2 million hectares of land for use as the Federal Government secures a $2.5B livestock investment with JBS, a Brazilian Multi National Company regarded as one of the world’s largest meat processing enterprise. Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced N8.4 Million as initial deposit for the 2025/1446 Hajj Fare for the intending pilgrims in the State. The announcement followed the recent pronouncement by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) pegging N8.4 million as the initial deposit. The initial deposit limit is contained in a statement signed by the Executive Secretary of the Board, Sheikh Muhammad Awwal Aliyu, saying that 4,503 seats were allocated to the State.
