Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris has condoled with the people of Ba-jiza village and Rausa Kade villages in Arewa Local Government Area of the state over bandits’ attack.
Condoling the people of the two villages on Saturday, the governor assured the people that his administration would continue to protect the lives and property of its citizens.
“I will ensure that the security architecture of the area become more effective and efficient to avoid any future occurrence,” he assured.
The governor also approved the construction of three motorised boreholes in the two villages, two in Ba-jiza while one in Rausa Kade to reduce their suffering and ensure availability of portable drinking water.
It could be recalled that the people of the area were attacked last Thursday by suspected bandits, where they carted away herds of cows, goat and killed six persons.
Dr Idris also gave the Local Government Chairman directives that the uncompleted Mosque under construction in Rausa kade village should be completed within two weeks.
The governor stated further that he would liaise with the neighboring Sokoto State to strengthen relationship towards ensuring zero tolerance for insecurity.
Also speaking, the Chairman Arewa Local Government Hon. Sani Aliyu thanked the governor for showing love and concern as demonstrated by his prompt visit to the affected villages.
He expressed appreciation over the support of security agencies in protecting the people of the area.
