Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, has graciously approved the total renovation of Bunza General Hospital.
The governor, who made this known during an emergency visit to the hospital on Thursday, also expressed dismay over the condition of the hospital.
Gov. Idris visited all the hospital wards and lamented that nobody informed him that the hospital had dilapidated to that level.
“Nobody told me that this is how the hospital looks like. I am not happy with what I saw, now I have given the directives for the renovation of this hospital and the casual staff should be absorbed,” he directed.
He added that his administration would not tolerate any act of insincerity, saying: “This administration is for the people of Kebbi State.”
The governor wondered how the staff of the hospital managed the health of the patients in that condition.
Earlier, the Principal Medical Officer of the hospital, Dr Usman Issa told the governor that most of their staff were casual workers, adding that the hospital required rehabilitation and hospital equipment.
He then thanked the governor for his efforts to enhance the health standards of the good people of Kebbi State.
