The Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Niger State Council Comrade Abu Nmodu on behalf of entire journalists wishes to humbly express his sincere gratitude and appreciation to our National President Dr Chris Isiguzo MFR for personally decorating Farmer Governor Mohammed Umar Bago as the Grand Patron of our great Union in Minna on the 7th March, 2024 at the Council chamber government House Minna.
The Council Chairman says the presence of our National President has not only added value to the Union but it has earn more respect and honour from the stakeholders.
The NUJ in Niger State notes that the investiture of Farmer Governor by our National President serves as a catalyst to strengthen the cordial existing relationship between the Union and government as attested to by the Grand Patron.
He points out that, the well articulated and intellectual packed speech by our National President is a clear demonstration of his resolve to place NUJ in a more respected and recognized status as obtained in other sister professional bodies.
He then appreciated all those who accompanied the National President to the occasion notable among them , the National Vice president zone D Comrade Kris Atsaka, national Ex-officio from the zone Mrs Nancy Orshi, the SSA to the National President for North Central Comrade Ismaila Saba Favu and other staff of the National Secretariat among others.
Comrade Abu Nmodu also notes with satisfaction the unprecedented turn out of members from all the Chapels in the State with special appreciation to SWC, SEC members, veterans, members of advisory committee and most importantly the great NAWOJIANS and officials of SWAN.
Reporters accredited to government house Minna are not left out as the Council Chairman salutes their support of giving the event the needed publicity.
The Council Chairman also praised those who planned to grace the occasion but could not do so due to reasons beyond their control,
