As part of activities to celebrate the one-year in office of the farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, Christians have been encouraged to always pray for leaders for wisdom to provide purposeful leadership that would please God.
Rev. Neth Timothy of the Victory Baptist Church, Minna made the call during a special Thanksgiving service held to commemorate the first year of the Bago-led administration.
He said praying for leaders is an instruction given to God as recorded in the book of second Timothy Chapter two, verses one to four.
Some Government officials, who joined other worshipers for the Thanksgiving, also charged Christians on unity and love for one another.
Special prayers were made for the success of the present administration, and for an end to the insecurity bedeviling the State as well as National at large.
Also at St. Michael’s Catholic Cathedral Minna, where a similar service was held, the Cathedral administrator, V. Rev. Fr. Clement Peter Onyilokwu who observed that the farmer Governor is making positive impact across the State, prayed to God to protect and guide him as he continues to steer the affairs of the State.
The Thanksgiving service was also conducted in other Churches across the State.
