Niger State Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Hon. Binta Mamman, congratulated Muslim umma, as they Concludes Ramadan Fast of 2024. The State Commissioner of Information in a press message, on 9th April 2024, says Niger State is the most peaceful State in Nigeria in terms of harmonious religious coexistence, adding that transiting into Eid Fitr celebration will afford the Muslim faithfuls the opportunity to connect with one another.
The State Information Commissioner, urged media organisations in the State, to report positive news and achievements of government, such as infrastructure, social welfare, Humanitarian response and security quick wins, as part of good reportage and governance.
She warning media platforms in the State to desist from, misinformation, disinformation, false and fake news and sensational reporting.
Binta Mamman, expressed optimism that the Ramadan fast supplication has made the State Government succeed in its Ramadan feeding Program, providing meals to thousands of people in Niger state, across the Eight Emirates of Niger State. The Commissioner described the Governor Muhammad Umar Bago’s New Niger Agenda as part of effort towards fostering a new transformation of the State.
She stated that, Governor’s rehabilitation of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport, is geared towards making pilgrimage operations for both Muslim and Christian, seamless, effective and efficient in terms of serving as a gateway to the holy lands.
Highlighting that the State is endowed with tolerable and good moral Muslims, that can be tapped to safeguard peace and tranquility, noting that the State Government has achieved a milestone of addressing insecurity and banditry activities in the State.
