Chairman, Zungeru Dam Project Compensation Committee and Niger state Deputy Governor Comrade Yakubu Garba says the present administration of the state has vowed to put to rest incessant issues arising from the project and payment of compensation.
Comrade Yakubu Garba stated this when he paid unscheduled visit to the subcommittee responsible for the payment of compensation to supervise the ongoing payment exercise at the court in Minna Niger state capital.
The Deputy Governor further explained that the committee has introduced new policies and strategies in the payment procedures, with a view to addressing some of the issues affecting the payment of compensation.
He said the government will do everything to ensure that those displaced because of the project are comfortable in their new resettlement in no distant time.
