By Ya’u Musa Minna High Court number 3 sitting in Suleja has set the 3rd of February 2025 for rulling on a bail application and amendment of charges by counsels in the murder case of the village head of lambata Mohammed Abdulsafur lambata.
On the commencement of hearing proper in the matter before Justice Aisha Wodu sitting in high court 3 suleja, counsel to one of the accused Barrister Mustapha Garba, filed an application seeking the court to grant a bail to one of the accused Ibrahim Musa aka Na’ Allah Dagba on health ground.
The accused who was ealir granted bail by a minna high court under a different name was ordered to be reminded in custodian facility by justice Aish Wodu, as he was standing trial on 221 murder charge among others.
Prosecuting state counsel Barrister Halidu Umar who objected to the bail application, however filed an application for the amendment of charges, as one of the suspects on the run Hamza Umar Sarki has been arrested by the police.
State Counsel Barrister Halidu Umar also inform the court that some of the accused on 221 count charges Dauda Umar Sarki, Abdulkareem Dantani Zubairu Dabakan Donbitso and Yusuf Sarki aka chaska are still at large and some of them are said to be seen moving about freely.
In her submission, the presiding Judge, Justice Aisha Wodu Bawa adjourned the matter to the 3rd of February for ruling on the applications by the counsel.
She also direct the police Area Command Suleja to go after the suspects at large arrest them before the next adjourned date.
