EL-AMIN UNIVERSITY MATRICULATION AND ENDOWMENT: NUC EXECUTIVE SECRETARY SAY UNIVERSITY IN NIGERIA ARE INADEQUATE.

The Executive Secretary National University Commission, NUC, Chris Jibreel Maiyaki says Nigeria has a total number of two hundred and seventy two existing universities, yet, it is inadequate to accommodate over 2 Million students seeking for admission yearly.

Chris Maiyaki stated this at the first Matriculation and endowment of forty eight students from the faculty of Applied Science, law, Management and Social Science of El-Amin University Minna.

Charging the matriculates the Executive Secretary National University Commission said education is the bedrock of any society, as such anyone seeking the best must be resilience.

‘I appreciated the former First Lady and Founder of El-Amin Schools, Doctor Maryam Babangida, for her foresight, legacies and dreams for the University’, ‘I also urge the students to adhere to the university standards’.

In his speech, the Pro-Chancellor, El-Amin University, Doctor Mohammed Babangida, said the University will continue to produce excellent graduates, urging stakeholders including parents to prioritise quality education for their children.

‘El-Amin School is known for the best, and the best is what has been sustaining our legacy across African and beyond,’ we promise to build on the great story and excellent narrative in our University.’

‘I congratulate the first Matriculates of our great University, advice you not relent in your pursuit for excellence in your career at this our university,’ promising to make your learning at El-Amin University Memorable’.

In a separate remarks, Justice Musa Dattijo Muhammad, and Pro-Chancellor Abdulkadir Kure University, Professor Muhahmmad Kuta, advised the students to work hard to make the University the most sort after in Nigeria and beyond, as well as making their parent proud of them.

The Matriculation Oath of allegiance to the El-Amin University on the forty eight students from the faculty of Applied Science, law, Management and Social Science was administered by the university Registrar, V. N. Kolo at the university auditorium.
