The Emir of Argungu in Kebbi State, Alhaji Sama’ila Muhammadu-Mera, has conferred traditional tittle of “San Turakin Kabi” on the Rector of Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi, Dr Usman Sani-Tunga.
This is contained in a letter addressed to the rector, personally signed by the Emir and conveyed to the appointee in Birnin Kebbi on Sunday.
The Traditional Ruler said the decision of the Emirate to confer the tittle on him was based on his immense contributions to the emirate, Kebbi State and Nigeria at large.
He enjoined the rector to sustain the good virtues for the benefit of his immediate society and the nation in general.
Responding, Dr Tunga appreciated the Emir for finding him worthy of the tittle and promised continued support to the emirate, the state and the nation to attain pinnacle.
He assured his readiness to remain loyal to the emirate, while promising that he would never disappoint the emirate, the state and the nation as a whole.
